Anyone who lived through the 70's have a special place in their heart for (or at least remember) The
Unknown Comic. The brainchild of comedian Murray Langston, the Unknown Comic came to prominence
on the legendary 'Gong Show' doing snappy one-liners with a bag over his head. Probably the best and
best-known prop-comic of all time, The Unknown Comic was hysterical both on TV and with raunchier
night-club material.

If this were just a DVD of the Unknown Comic, it'd be great fun. Even if the humor is a little dated at this
point, it would still be a great curio...but that's not all it is. This disc contains three programs, the first is
'The Unknown Comic Show', an old VHS tape from the 80's that features stand-up and skits by both The
Unknown Comic and Murray Langston unbagged, as well as some other folks - including a guy who
juggles lit torches and running chainsaws. It's a fun bit of nostalgia and it will still provide a few raunchy
laughs.

Then after 45 minutes it ends. The next program is called 'Urban Legends', it's supposed to be some
sort of horror film or something. It's just a hodgepodge of strange images that don't go anywhere. But
wait - suddenly, out of nowhere we're back in the Unknown Comic show. It just jumps into a random
point in the last program. I thought there was a glitch in the disc that sent it back to the other program,
but no, it was part of the show. Apparently, when they made the 'Urban Legend' mess they decided it
wasn't long enough and needed to be padded out with footage from the old 'Unknown Comic' video. And
it's utterly random - it springs up in the middle of a segment and plays through several bits before going
back to the new footage for awhile until it comes back later. So they're rehashing an old VHS video not
once but twice on this disc.

Finally we get 'The Art of Nude Bowling'. This is just awful. A mostly static far away shot in black and
white of naked people bowling with 'funny' commentators talking over it. That's it! It's neither funny, nor
titilating, it's just bizarre. The video features men and women naked, but for some reason the naked
men have the privates blocked (not that anything is that easy to see anyway). Just terrible.

So basically this is just an attempt by Bill Osco's Osco Productions to cash in on some old crappy
footage he has. The Unknown Comic is the most well-known participant so the cover art kind of
suggests that the disc features three Unknown Comic shows, but no such luck,

It's a cheap DVD, and the Unknown Comic segment is worth the price alone. My advice, get the disc,
watch the show and don't bother with the other two segments. The disgusting animation in the menu is
fun, too.
