                                                                    1. How long have you been acting?

I've been acting in NY for over 5 yrs and worked for
4 yrs in Orlando, FL as an actor for various Disney
Projects. I studied acting for 6 yrs in Florida and then
did a Meisner program for 1 yr here in the city.

                                                                    2. When choosing roles, what do you look for in a
                                                                        character?

At this point in my career I look for roles that I think I
can get hired to do! These are usually supporting
roles- the friend, the girlfriend, the funny side-kick.
I'm attracted to very dramatic and dark roles, but am
often cast in comedies, even though I don't think I'm
                                                                      funny at all, haha!

3. Besides being a very talented actress, you also run a production company ('Those Girls
Productions'). How did this come about, and how is that going?

Some girls I went to school with (at the above mentioned Meisner school) and I found a lacking
in NY Theatre for dynamic, strong female roles and we thought we could make a change! We
realized how well networked and supported we were, so we took a leap. It really paid off :)
We've had a lot of fun and our success so far has been inspiring. I'm hoping for more good
things in the future.

4. As a serious actress with an impressive resume in serious theater, what attracted you to the
wackiness of Yellow Ape Productions?

Umm- they were willing to hire me! haha. No in all seriousness, it seemed like great exposure.
And it has been! Two films on IMDB and great press clips from Grave Danger- that helps me get
one step closer to my goal! Which is to be a film and television actor. The more on camera
experience I can get, the better :)

5. You received some good notices for your work in the recently released "Grave Danger," were
you pleased with the finished product?

I have to say- I was! I was a little nervous, but I was pleasantly
surprised. It's always so nerve wracking to see how you'll look
on camera and what people will think- I was happy it was so
well received! Jim and Susan did a great job :)

6. How much preparation went into the character of Stella? Was
it challenging or do you think you had a pretty good handle
on her right out of the gate?

I think I understood Stella right away! She was caring and sympathetic, but wasn't going to be
pushed around, she also had a dark side... I liked playing her and it was enjoyable to work with
Jae- we made a good team!

7. You're currently working on the new comedy "Is This A Joke" - how has that been going?

It's a lot of fun! I like this style of film- it gives me the opportunity to play a handful of different
characters.  The team has been great and the concept is very clever. I'm excited to see the
final product.

8. "Is This A Joke" is a series of vignettes that find you playing many different roles. Is it hard going
from character to character in the course of a shooting day?

No I don't think it's hard, I find it to be very fun. It keeps things
active and interesting. As an actor, having the opportunity to
explore different emotions, reactions, experiences, etc.,
throughout the course of shooting is rewarding- it's what we
                                                          live for!

                                                          9. Jim Haggerty has said you're one of the best actresses he's
worked with - do you plan to keep working with Jim and
                                                              Yellow Ape?

That is very flattering and I hope he keeps saying that and keeps spreading the word ;) I
absolutely plan to work with Yellow Ape and Jim as long as they'll have me! Working with Jim is
great because he really trusts me with the roles and the choices I make and he allows me to
explore things in a way that I find really comfortable and rewarding.

10. Besides "Is This A Joke," what's up next for Rebecca Rose McCain?

I'm looking forward to Jim's next project- an action film where I get to play a villain! That will be
a lot of fun! I'm also continuing plans for future theatre projects with TGP and LCP (another
theatre company I work with) and I am actively auditioning all the time! So, keep an eye out and
I'll keep you posted!
