I was skeptical about seeing this movie because I wasn't sure how good it was going to be. I didn't think it
was going to be that funny. The movie had been out for about a month and one night when there was nothing
to do I decided to see it. To my surprise, I really liked it.
The movie is based on the character Aldous Snow played by Russell Brand which, if you have seen
'Forgetting Sarah Marshall', you know he plays a rock star. The director Nicholas Stoller used three cast
members from 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall,' the only thing that changed was Jonah Hill’s character. In 'Sarah
Marshall' he plays some random guy who works at a hotel and is a huge Aldous Snow fan but in this one he
plays Aaron Green, a normal guy with a job at a record company and becomes manager to Aldous Snow. This
is very different from the role he played in 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall'. We even see Kristen Bell, (Sarah
Marshall herself) briefly halfway through the movie. P. Ditty was also in this movie - he played the president
of the record company. His character was crazy as well.
I have to say I truly loved this movie, I laughed from start to finish. Jonah Hill and Russell Brand together
made a hilarious duo. The character Aldous Snow was kind of funny in Forgetting Sarah Marshal but in this
movie he really shined. Aldous Snow is your typical crazy rock star type. He goes out to clubs, drinks, does
drugs, and drags Aaron Green with him on all his crazy adventures. All the while Aaron is a straight-edge kind
of guy who doesn't have much experience with alcohol or drugs. He's just trying to do his job and get Aldous
the the big concert. Aldous does not make it easy for him.
I would definitely recommend this movie. The sound was good, the quality was good and if you’re into movies
like 'Superbad' and 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' then this is the movie for you. You will laugh your butt off.
