ILow-budget straight to video horror flick starts off with great promise - a woman is home alone and
someone is watching. It's a great, suspenseful sequence that seems right out of a classic 80's slasher
flick like "Don't Answer the Phone" or "Prom Night." Unfortunately, right that after it veers into the
typical torture porn schtick. Why people are so obsessed with watching people suffering is beyond me.

But what's worse is what happens after - this doesn't follow through as an 80's style slasher flick or
even a gross torture opus...it turns into a night-time soap opera! Seriously!

We're introduced to a bunch of not-so-likeable and not-so-interesting teenagers on the brink of going
off to college. They talk about the changes they're going through, they talk about the pressures from
their parents, they talk about their relationships, they talk, talk, talk, blah, blah, blah! Suddenly this went
from being "Don't Answer the Phone" to being "Hostel" and finally being "Dawson's Creek"!

Serously, for what seems like an hour nothing happens - at least nothing that could be considered
vaguely horror, Just a bunch of good-looking jerks sailing on a boat, then camping on an island.
Eventually, some inexplicably indestructable klller (is there another kind?) shows up and starts
bumping them off in a bunch of run-of-the-mill murder scenes that seem stale and berift of suspense.

The acting ranges from mediocre to sub-par, but to be fair the characters these people are playing are
not interesting or charming in the least. For a movie that began with such promise, it really ends up
looking like the excellent opening was tacked-on at the last minute (maybe by another director even).

It's not the worst horror movie ever made, but it's extremely ho-hum and forgettable. Not very much to
recommend.
